OFFICE POLICIES

OFFICE VISITS:  By appointment only.

Appointments are scheduled by phone or email. Please call the office at (860) 677-4600 or email us at medicalassistant@naturalhealthandhealing.net. We do have a waiting/cancellation list and try to get patients in as soon as possible.

Patients should arrive 10-15 minutes in advance of their appointment to help ensure timely flow in the office. We will do our best to give notice if the doctor is running behind schedule.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If a patient is unable to make an appointment, we request the courtesy of letting us know as soon as possible so that we may offer the appointment time to another patient. As we do not double book patient appointments, the office cancellation policy is strictly enforced with the exception of true emergencies.

New patients who are typically seen for a minimum of two hours need to cancel or reschedule an appointment by notifying the office at least 5 business days prior to the scheduled appointment time to avoid a cancellation fee.

Established patients need to cancel or reschedule an appointment by notifying the office at least 3 business days prior to the scheduled appointment time to avoid a cancellation fee.

For LATE cancellations, if the time slot is not re-filled, the patient will be charged the full amount for the time reserved. If the time slot is re-filled, the patient will be charged a $50 administrative fee.

NO SHOWS:

No shows will be charged the full amount for the time reserved. If a patient misses an appointment, future visits must be paid in advance at the time of scheduling.

FEE STRUCTURE:

Payment is required at the time of service. The charge is calculated based upon the amount of time spent with the practitioner at the established hourly rate.

We accept cash, check and debit/credit cards with the exception of American Express.

INSURANCE:

We do not participate with any health insurance plans. We do provide a bill which patients can submit directly to their insurer for possible reimbursement. The practice is considered out-of-network and it is the patient's responsibility to understand their plan benefits.

The practice has opted out of Medicare; however, ordering tests, imaging studies and prescriptions is allowed. Each Medicare patient is required to sign an opt out form which states that they agree not to submit to Medicare. In turn, they can then use this form to submit to any secondary insurance they have for possible reimbursement.
